In 2021, I had the pleasure of being commissioned by a wonderful client to create a custom design piece for their back garden. The goal was to adorn a lovely stone wall with something unique and eye-catching.
Drawing inspiration from the beauty of repurposed and salvaged materials, I crafted the main surround from an old cast iron manhole cover. This provided a solid and distinctive base for the piece.
To enhance the design, I integrated brass and steel accent pieces, achieving a harmonious and intriguing overall look.
This project not only gave new life to forgotten materials but also created a striking feature that complements the natural beauty of the stone wall. It’s a testament to how repurposed elements can come together to form something truly special.
