Honouring and respecting the past is a huge part of what we do here at Billy Moore Metal Works. We take great pride in restoring and repurposing items from our Heritage. We feel it is crucial to preserve in someway the history and fabric of where we come from. Whether It’s breathing new life into iconic architectural pieces or repurposing smaller items of sentimental value for individual clients.
With an intrinsic passion for vintage, industrial and agricultural equipment, combined with over 30 years experience I am in my element when faced with the challenge of bringing an old neglected and forgotten piece of equipment back to like the day it was made.
Quite a bit of what we do is repurposing old parts of particular importance. More often than not they are all that remain salvaged from a larger piece.
We rework these components and give them pride of place incorporating them into bespoke furniture pieces and light features, et cetera.
We use age honoured techniques to achieve these results whether it be forging, casting – working with bronze, brass and lead work et cetera. With a number of traditional metal working machines at our facility it gives us great pleasure to be able to carry on the craftsmanship and incorporate these skill sets into every build.
