BSA Bantham
Light

A few years back, I decided on a little outdoor lighting project for myself using some pieces I had lying around my workshop. I wanted to create something unique and full of character, so I turned of course to repurposing vintage items.

The centerpiece of this project is an old vintage BSA motorcycle tank. It had been sitting in my workshop for ages, just waiting for the right opportunity to shine again. I paired it with an old ceramic electrical isolator to form the tail section, adding a touch of industrial charm.

For the Bantham’s head, I modified a 1980s Cibie spotlight, giving it a quirky yet functional finish.

The result is a one-of-a-kind piece of outdoor lighting that never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Combining these vintage elements not only gave them a new lease on life but also created a conversation piece  that lights up the night with a touch of nostalgia and creativity.
